About CEMEACO

Training Center for Active Education Methods in Congo

CEMEACO (Center for Training in Active Education Methods in Congo) is a Congolese civil society organization founded in Kinshasa. It is registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Democratic Republic of the Congo under registration number 057/MJS/CAB/2100/01/JY/2010.

As a member of the International Federation of Training Centers for Active Education Methods (FICEMEA), CEMEACO promotes progressive education methods throughout the Congo. It places the learner at the center of their own learning process, encouraging action, experimentation, and cooperation rather than top-down knowledge transfer.

CEMEACO works with young people, educators, civil society actors, and communities affected by humanitarian crises. It acts as a catalyst for social transformation through education.
